Lara Gothique is a well-established, fully qualified, and highly respected Personal Trainer & Fitness Teacher, with an excellent reputation in her field of business since 1991.


With over 30 years of qualifications, experience, study, and training for rehabilitation from sports injuries, accidents, illness, etc., and an extensive background in pre and post-natal health & fitness, post-operative breast-care, and post-operative rehabilitation; Lara regularly has client/patient referrals via GP's, Consultants, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, & Midwives (etc.).


All fitness/rehab programs/classes are tailored to suit each individual, and always within your own physical capabilities & limitations. 


Ongoing study and training ensures that you will be in safe hands, and that you will always be taught and looked after to an excellent standard.


Lara is dedicated to ensuring everyone she teaches reaches their maximum potential - often exceeding the initial goals set by her clients, and all within a safe and supportive environment.

  • Post-op rehabilitation (including but not limited to: heart surgery, back surgery, hernia, hip/knee replacements, mastectomy, bone injury, road accidents, etc.)
  • Pre & post-natal fitness (including Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction [SPD], post-C-section, etc.)
  • Dealing with chronic conditions & long-term illness/injury
  • Sports injuries
  • General day-to-day injury/illness rehabilitation (eg: falls, sprains, back pain, sciatica, arthritis, general wear & tear, etc.)
  • Dealing with peri-menopausal/menopausal issues and changes
  • Additional in-depth personalised programmes and support is also available

 


Lara runs all her dance & fitness classes with absolute inclusivity in mind. Class members come in all ages, shapes and sizes, and Lara aims to help you to gain a more healthy, confident attitude towards your body and how you use it. In return, your body will continue to work to the best of its abilities, providing you look after it!


You do not have to be fit (or a certain shape or size) to attend classes - learn to love the body you have, and let go of your inhibitions & fears. Once you join, you will find that your fitness & flexibility starts to improve week by week, and these classes are a great way to help you to keep fit and healthy. 


All classes are suitable for beginners. 


On your own? Most of our members come along on their own, so please don't worry - you will be made to feel very welcome, and any first-time nerves will soon disappear - we promise! 


Please contact Lara  if you wish to discuss starting an exercise plan, and are unsure due to your limitations.


We welcome class members who are partially-sighted, hard-of-hearing, have a prosthetic limb, or use a mobility aid. Please just let Lara know in advance so that we can position you in the best place for your needs during class.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

What to wear/bring:

  • Sportswear/workout gear, or leggings/tracksuit bottoms and a cool, comfy vest top are ideal.  Please be aware that your top isn't too loose that it falls off over your head if you are upside-down! 

  • You do not need any footwear - classes are best done in bare feet to help improve strength and balance, but feel free to bring some socks in case your feet get cold. 

  • Please bring your own mat. A towel and a small cushion can also be handy, if at all possible. We can provide mats otherwise. All our own equipment will be cleaned within Covid-19 regulations, and you will be asked to disinfect any equipment you borrow from us for your class session.

  • Bring a drink of water with you - it's thirsty work! (There is a kitchen available to re-fill your water bottle.)

Car parking:

We have a private (free) car-park attached to the venue. 


Once you've driven up Orchard Court from Burncross Road, drive in through the main gates.

Facilities:


  • Disabled  & standard W.C.'s 

  • Kitchen area to re-fill water bottles, etc.

  • You bring your bags through with you to the main hall area, so nothing is left unattended.

COVID-19 STATEMENT


UPDATE:  2024


We would trust that everyone attending classes is in as good health as they are honestly aware of; that they are not Covid positive or awaiting the results of a Covid-19 test; have not been advised to have a Covid-19 test; nor are they showing any Covid-19 (or any other cough/flu-type) symptoms. Also, that they have not recently been in contact with anyone who has tested positive to Covid-19/is awaiting a Covid-19 test themselves, or are showing Covid-19 (or other cough/flu-type) symptoms themselves. If there is any doubt as to this, we would obviously ask you not to attend classes and possibly put everyone else, this business, and the venue at risk.


Please be aware that we hold the right to deny entry to any class should we suspect anyone attending may pose a possible health risk.



Advance booking & pre-payment is essential for any class that you wish to attend. 

Please familiarise yourself with the class booking & payment requirements detailed with each individual class as detailed below. 

All classes will run on a first-come, first-served basis, so please ensure you book in for your favourite classes to avoid missing out.



Air Quality - Our teaching venue abides by the recommended guidance published by the Government with regards to heating and ventilation systems. This means proper ventilation and the improved delivery of fresh air into the main teaching space.



Hygiene - Our teaching venue will continue to have a monthly deep disinfection clean. Additional cleaning & disinfection measures are also in place each week.

We will be disinfecting the venue contact points before and after all classes. Hand sanitiser is available upon entry & exit to the venue, and we ask that you follow all the Government guidelines regarding frequent hand-washing and all general Covid-19 related hygiene measures. Please feel free to bring & use your own hand-sanitiser too.



Our regular GDPR compliant class registration system and online booking system both allow effective "Track & Trace" data to be collected.



You are welcome to continue to wear a mask/face-covering upon entry to and exit from classes. This can then be removed once you are in your designated exercise/dance area. 

You do not have to wear a mask/face-covering whilst actually doing the class, however, please feel free to wear one should you wish.


Please come dressed ready for class, and please only bring what is absolutely necessary into the venue. 


No food is to be brought into or consumed within the venue. (You can still have your water bottle with you in class.)
